If I could give zero stars, I would my first session with them was pretty good. He went on and on about the 12th steps which I’ve been a part of my whole life. I recommend seeing someone with an open mind and an open heart with the willingness to treat the addiction, and not just an espouse their own beliefs. Never had a doctor cut me off so many times he must not understand that God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason, try listening once in a while. during my last session, he got confrontational and made me leave, not a great addiction specialist IMO.

Dr. Reeves is a great doctor and is very knowledgeable. However, the front desk lady made faces at me every time I come for an appointment; as well as, made a comment about me behind my back to the doctors wife (who is also his nurse) and I heard the comment. I decided to drive to Pensacola for care because I was tired of being looked down on and spoke about. For an addiction doctor, he needs to make a better choice on who runs his office. I'm not the only person who has had this problem.

I'm a pretty private individual, I tend to keep my personal woes to myself, but my encounter with Dr. Reeves & Staff (beginning August 2023) compels me to share a little of my experience in hopes that it will encourage others to seek & benefit from an opportunity to work with a highly educated, personable, & experiened physician who likewise demonstrates an incredible authenticity for true empathy & compassion. After a catastrophic injury, pain management became a very real consideration & priority for me; however, I was not able to find a physician willing to prescribe Suboxone to manage my pain & because I wanted to avoid the usual opiate hampster wheel, I found myself left to suffer seemingly without options. I prayed for a solution &, after seeing one doctor after another, I went to the last doctor on a very long list who recommended that I see Dr. Reeves, that he might be willing to prescribe the Suboxone I wanted for "pain management". I admit that I had little hope that it would amount to anything but I nevertheless agreed to set an appointment (which was scheduled within 48 hours of seeing what I thought would be the last physician I would ever make an effort to see about my pain issues). To that end, I will say that it was the best decision I have ever made & all with amazing ease. To date, I still struggle with some pain issues, there's no avoiding that completely, especially at age 65, but I am better able to manage it now & learning more options as well as developing a new skillset to handle it much more effectively. Suboxone might not be the answer for everyone but it's definitely worth a try & provides less of a risk factor. You won't find many doctors just around the corner who will work with you like Dr. Reeves. He takes the necessary time with you to educate where before you might you have been ignorant or just lacking simple knowledge about your choices & options. It's all very empowering & puts you back in the driver's seat of your life where pain no longer dictates the happiness & comfort you once knew.

Dr. Reeves and his team are a remarkable bunch. Dr. Reeves is very compassionate and understanding in addition to his vast medical knowledge. He and his staff have always gone above and beyond for me as a patient of his for more than 3 years.

I have been going to Dr. Reeves for 6 months. At my first appointment, his receptionist did the intake which was unprofessional because she is only his receptionist. It made me uncomfortable. After I started going every month, the receptionist would roll her eyes every time I would go in. (I don't think she likes people who are in recovery). It got to the point that I decided to go to another doctor. The doctor's wife is also his nurse. She told my friend who also decided to go there that she could no longer bring her service dog unless she brought the dogs training papers which goes against ADA. They also do not take my insurance even though my insurance said that they were a provider.
I do not recommend this addiction doctor due to how they made me feel going into this office. They expect you to pay cash or credit card for $155 which is more than other addiction doctors in this area.

Dr. Reeves is by far the best doctor in this field and in this area! He has helped me to grow and overcome addiction, fear, and anxiety. Going through a bad hysterectomy, I was put onto a lot of pain medication and became dependant upon it. Dr. Reeves and his wonderful staff did not judge me nor did they make me feel ashamed. They helped me so much. I am finally for the first time in many years, starting to truly enjoy my life. Not only does he do the medical part of it but he listens and explains things and teaches me so much. His office manager Theresa is wonderful and caring and made me feel comfortable immediately. If you need help, please reach out to Dr. Reeves, he will help you!

Being practically a life long chronic pain patient (due to a broken back as a child) I have seen and been to all types of Doctors..... Everything the pain management field has to offer, transversely all the addiction field has as well due to the "pill mill" doctors who only care about the money I the patient represents. So when I tell you this doctor is different you can trust me based on a lifetime of seeing "these" doctors. And different is a great way to describe Dr. Reeves. Different in so many ways, all of which are good, no exceptional would be the correct word. He cares and it is so very obvious. Upon my first appointment he had me mesmerized with his wisdom and the questions he asked made me feel like so much more than just a number. As a man it's a little embarrassing but by the end of the first meeting I was moved to tears . I felt like I had just meet the world's best psychologist not a pain or addiction doctor. Then upon going to get my script filled I was made aware by the pharmacist just how amazing his reputation is not only in this field but he was also apparently known as one of the best vascular surgeons in the state before he did this. I know I've said a lot and I could say much more because every meeting with him I'm even more impressed. He is not some stuffy dressed up doctor who looks down his nose at you, he is a plain clothed "guy next door" type you would have over to watch the game. So if you're looking for this type doctor look no more he is the BEST and worth the drive if you are anywhere with-in the state in my humble opinion.

I had been on methadone for a few years and I desperately needed a change in my life I was unhappy and depressed!! My family doctor referred me to Dr Reeves saying he was a doc that treats pain, addiction and mental health. That they are intertwined. Starting on the phone Theresa was so polite and professional and sweet. When my 1st appt was made I went in thinking he was going to fix me!!! His facility was better then I expected. He met with me for almost 2 hours on my 1st visit letting me talk and he informing me of the process and how addiction works and basics on how to over come. He was extremely concerned about how I was especially coming off of methadone. He said they would be here anytime if I needed anything at anytime to call and I did after hours. I left a message and within 20 min I had gotten a return call. Now I am getting back to who I was before auction!!! I am so thankful I was referred here. I have been in addiction treatment for 4 years. I have come farther with in my recovery with Dr Reeves in the last month and a half then I did the last 4 years on methadone. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am starting to be happy with myself. If u seriously want to be done with addiction and have peace in your life Dr Reeves is who u need to see!!!!
