Bij mijn buurman sushi assortiment besteld voor 1 persoon. Dit was een royale portie want heb dit samen met mijn dochter opgegeten en wij waren meer dan voldaan. Gevarieerde sushi en heel verzorgd afgewerkt. Wel ruime tijd moeten wachten (wil zeggen dat het vers gemaakt is), maar dit werd aan de telefoon meegedeeld en bij de afhaling een drankje gratis bijgekregen. Zeer vriendelijke bediening! Beste sushi in town next door. Wat moet een mens nog meer hebben?

Nara Sushi quickly became one of the places that we go to/order the most from in Dendermonde! The sushi’s are delicious and the staff is friendly. The only thing that could be improved is the atmosphere of the restaurant because it looks a bit empty. Aside from that I recommend 100%!

I originally wanted to order takoyaki as I saw it on the menu and was excited to try it. The people there didn’t even know it was on the menu.. 40 minutes later, we were informed they didn’t even have any octopus. They asked us to order something else and the first thing we saw was beef ramen so we just went with that. The chef wasn’t even at the place.. He waltzed in later. The staff were confused and all over the place. Total chaos despite us being the only people there.

The miso soup tasted like horrible earl grey. The kind that was steeped for far too long. It was inedible. I’m also relatively sure you’re supposed to get tofu, etc considering that’s what I’ve heard from other places, but there was none of that.

The ramen were soggy and while I don’t necessarily mind soggy ramen that much (it happens) these were soggy to the point were they would fall apart. The beef was tough and flavourless. The broth was ok, but you’re better off just eating some instant noodles.

Wait time was horrendous, first we were in there for 40 minutes just to be told theres no octopus, then for another 40 minutes for whatever monstrosity was handed to us.

The sushi might be better, but I certainly do not recommend this place. The boss was on vacation so maybe that’s why things were so chaotic…

The craftsmanship and attention to detail are above the best I’ve ever experienced. Whether you're a seasoned sushi lover or a first-timer, Sushi Nara will exceed all your expectations. A true gem!

Na het opnemen van onze bestelling ontvingen we uiteindelijk extra sushi die we niet hadden besteld en waarvoor we ook werden aangerekend. We hebben dit gemeld, maar lieten het verder rusten uit vriendelijkheid. Toen we de rekening kregen, stond er al een bedrag van +3€ extra op het betaalbakje. Dit werd constant aangedrongen als een "tip". Het duurde even voordat ik de rekening daadwerkelijk kon inzien, omdat de serveerster deze steeds in haar hand hield. Op het rekeningtje stond er ook +3€ bijgeschreven als fooi zonder wij dit hadden gemeld. Ook werden er privé dingen gevraagd in bijzijn van andere klanten. Dit was onprofessioneel en de bediening kwam erg onbetrouwbaar over. Het eten zelf was prima.

I visited Belgium a few weeks ago and had some amazing sushi, but Sushi Nara has no match. The quality and flavor here are simply unbeatable!
