Nous avons découvert cet établissement lors d'une réception organisée pour les commémorations du centenaire de la disparition du pilote "Guynemer" et avons été impressionné par le cadre magnifique de cette belle salle de réception. Nous avons immédiatement été accueillis avec le plus grand soin et le service à table était tout simplement exceptionnel. Tant la qualité des plats proposés, que leur température, que leur présentation... c'était parfait sur toute la ligne. Nous avons rarement vu un professionnalisme aussi abouti dans ce genre de performance. Nous ne sommes pas de la région, mais si un jour... nous avons retenu l'adresse et la recommandons.

Fijne plaats om te overnachten. Mooie zuivere kamers met badkamer en toilet. Toffe uitbaters. Staan elk jaar om 5u op om ons ontbijt te geven tijdens de rally. Ook toffe brasserie om rustig iets te drinken. We komen er zeer graag.

The place around the hostel is really nice but the hostel itself is awful. Rooms were unclean and they dont seem to try clean it. The food is quite bland and usually undercooked and wouldn’t accommodate allergies when they were told in advance like stated inside the canteen. Windows barely open so the rooms are like a sauna and the shower has either a high pressure to the point it’s leaking out of the bathroom or a low pressure so you can’t even wash yourself. They also didn’t even give basics such as soap which we had to go buy ourselves. When we needed something from the staff during the day we could find no one at all within the hostel to help.

I run an annual trip to the battlefields of World War One for my school and have now used the Munchenhof two years in a row. It is a very conveniently placed hotel for groups wanting to run such tours. It is situated in the quiet town of Langemark, which is just a short drive from Ypres.||There are two blocks of rooms - Block Rose and Block Gould - so the hotel has enough space to accommodate a large group very easily. The rooms and facilities are clean and tidy. There are recreation facilities available, e.g. a pool table (1 euro per game), outdoor table tennis, basketball court and football pitch. There is a maze and a seating area at the rear, although this part was sadly closed for the duration of our stay. It was open when we visited in 2023 and was a great space for students to relax after a long day. ||Breakfast is continental - croissants, cereal, cheese and cold meats. Students and staff also make up their packed lunches during the breakfast sitting. There is a good variety of hot food at dinnertime. ||Some of the reviews here seem to have unrealistic expectations of 5-star luxury on a 2 or 3-star budget. This hotel is perfect for running a school trip - it provides a comfortable base to operate from at a reasonable price. ||If I could mention one issue, it was that the showers in a couple of the rooms (a small minority of them) lacked water pressure when turned to the hot setting. Make sure that you take towels and toiletries with you as these are not provided by the hotel.

The place wasn't too bad, but could've been better. The room was quite hot, the bunk beds were unstable, and some of the curtain rails are broken. There was an entire family generation of mosquitoes in our room, and there are stains on the walls from where previous people have killed them. the shower was a bit a manky. The food was alright, but portions were tiny. It's okay for a couple nights but would not stay for much longer. The fire alarm also went off during our stay and it was literally deafening.

Schools trip accommodation. We had a secure area for our school, which was great. Lots of play facilities available. Staff were very helpful indeed in helping us look after our pupils in one case calling out a doctor for us in the evening to see one of our pupils. Good - Suppers excellent, breakfasts good, packed lunches a little light.

We have just returned here from a school trip.|The location of the hostel is great for all attractions. The accommodation was secure and comfortable. One of our party uses a wheelchair and the accessibility arrangements and room are perfect.|The food was lovely and hot and fresh each night and morning.|I highly recommend this hostel for school groups.
